How do guests access the river from the cabins?
All of our cabins (except R&S River Bend which features elevated bluff-top river views) have direct, private riverbank access to Mountain Fork River. Cabins feature dedicated stairways, observation decks, and launches so you can swim, wade, fish for bass and trout, or launch kayaks directly outside your door.
Can we rent adjacent cabins together for large groups or family reunions?
Yes! Many of our cabins are intentionally located next door to each other along Wild Goose Road and Red Fox Road. Popular combinations include Riverhawk Lodge + Firefly Cabin (sleeps up to 30 combined), Grandview + Kingfisher (sleeps 15), and Viney's + Joelle's + The Burgundy (sleeps 14).
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 3:00 PM CST and check-out is at 11:00 AM CST. Because of our strict housekeeping and sanitization standards, early check-in or late check-out must be requested and approved in advance.
How does keyless self check-in work?
Every cabin is equipped with a digital keypad smart lock. After completing your direct-booking rental agreement and confirmation, you will receive an automated email and SMS containing your unique entry code and turn-by-turn driving directions.
Are pets allowed at the cabins?
Dogs are welcome at designated pet-friendly cabins with an advance pet fee ($250 non-refundable per reservation) and security deposit. Up to 2 dogs are permitted. Cats are not allowed. Dogs must be crated when left unattended and are not allowed on furniture or bedding.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Cancellations made 30+ days prior to arrival receive a 97% refund (minus a $75 administrative fee). Cancellations made 14–30 days prior to arrival receive a 47% refund (minus $75 fee). Cancellations within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance.
How far are the cabins from Hochatown and Beavers Bend State Park?
Our cabins sit directly on Mountain Fork River in Broken Bow, approximately 20–25 minutes from Beavers Bend State Park, Broken Bow Lake Marina, and Hochatown's dining, craft breweries, and family attractions.
Is firewood provided for fire pits and fireplaces?
Yes! Complimentary seasoned firewood is stocked on-site at your cabin for your stay. Guests only need to bring fire starters, kindling, or lighters.
How do the Mountain Fork River dam water releases work?
Water releases from Broken Bow Lake into Mountain Fork River are managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Weekend generation schedules are typically announced on Saturday mornings, with daily release volumes posted at 4:00 PM CST for the following day. When water is releasing, the river rises and current accelerates, offering thrilling kayak runs. During non-release hours, the river is calm and serene for swimming, floating, and wading.
What are the quiet hours?
Quiet hours are strictly enforced between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM CST so all guests can enjoy peaceful riverfront surroundings, unless your group has reserved all adjacent cabins in a cluster.
What packing checklist do you recommend?
We provide high-quality linens, bath towels, and kitchen dishware. We recommend packing: charcoal (or wood pellets specifically for River Ridge's pellet grill), fire starters, river towels, water shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, river float tubes or rafts with anchor ropes (to prevent drifting downstream), and fishing gear with Oklahoma licenses.
Where are the nearest grocery stores?
Pruett's Food in downtown Broken Bow is a full-service supermarket located roughly 15 minutes away. Note that the Broken Bow Walmart is a standard store without a full deli/bakery. Full Walmart Supercenters are located in Idabel, OK (20 minutes south) and DeQueen, AR (30 minutes east).
Are kitchens fully equipped?
Yes. Every kitchen includes full-size appliances (refrigerator, oven, range, microwave, dishwasher), cookware, pots, pans, blender, toaster, coffee maker (drip and/or Keurig), silverware, and dishware.
What types of outdoor grills are provided?
Cabins feature either propane gas grills (with propane provided) or charcoal grills (bring charcoal). River Ridge features an upscale wood pellet grill (please bring wood pellets).
Is Wi-Fi available at the cabins?
Yes, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is provided at every cabin. Network credentials are displayed on the refrigerator and inside your digital Welcome Guide.
How is cellular telephone reception on the river?
AT&T provides the strongest cellular coverage throughout our river valley. Verizon coverage is moderate. T-Mobile and other carriers may have limited signal; we recommend turning on Wi-Fi Calling on your mobile phone before arrival.
Are private washers and dryers provided?
Yes, every cabin has an in-unit washer and dryer with complimentary laundry detergent provided.
Can we host weddings, reunions, or events?
Small weddings and family reunions must be approved in advance and require reserving both paired cabins (such as Riverhawk + Firefly or Grandview + Kingfisher) along with an event fee. Unauthorized parties or unregistered day visitors are strictly prohibited.
