2nd trip to Firefly

This is our 2nd time to stay at Firefly and we just love it, I'm sure it won't be the last. I wish it had been warm enough to kayak again but we enjoyed the fire pit and patio this trip. It's an easy drive into Hochatown but we spent more time in the town of Broken Bow and really enjoyed a new restaurant called Brick and Bread, cute little gift shop next to it as well. The cabin has the perfect setup for two couples, king beds that are very comfortable and two full bathrooms, the kitchen is well stocked with supplies if you want to stay in and cook. The owners are so gracious and easy to contact, Dawnisa will get back with you almost immediately. Looking forward to next time!

Great Stay

Great place to stay, a little off the main street but that's what I was looking for. Had everything you needed supplied for you except couldn't find a broom or figure the shower out. But it was quite and relaxing just what we needed. We had wonderful bonding time playing games, jacuzzi, sitting around the fire. We will definitely be back. First time to the area but not the last.

Great cabin on the river

The cabin and the management team are perfect. The cabin sets just off the river with full access. Kayaks are provided and the fishing was decent. The quite evening in the hot tub are very enjoyable. Perfect little place to get away

Perfect river location

Pulling up to the property, we were greeted by the sweetest pups that some had mentioned in their reviews. The cabin and wrap-around porch are beautiful and way more than I expected. This owner has anticipated all of your needs. The cabin is perfectly stocked for an awesome stay. We spent most of our time on the river. We kayaked and fished all day and night. Kayaking in the river behind the house was perfect. The water was very clear. We drove into town once for dinner. We didn't really have to leave the cabin much. A hot tub out back was a perfect touch, but we were too tired to enjoy it after being in the water all day. The cabin is extremely clean. Great layout. The owners are very responsive and available if the need arises. My husband and I are definitely excited to book The Firefly again.

Perfect place to stay.

The cabin was perfect with the lodge just being a walk away for the wedding. I would definitely rent one of the locations again, the cabin had everything we needed.

On the River

Clean cabin with great air-conditioning! Was 101-104 whole time there and cabin air kept up. This is our second stay and only place on the kayaking river without having to climb large number of stairs. Large parking area for pickup and trailers for group kayaking. Safe easy access to waters edge. Large fire pit area was nice upgrade to this location. Beds very comfortable in both bedrooms. Very large flat screen TV. Already planning next years tip.

Lovely stay at the Firefly cabin!

We had three nights at this this wonderful cabin. It provides most items you need, especially for just a few nights. We did a kayak trip and it was quite cold. The hot tub was fantastic to come back to and warm up. The beds are so comfortable, slept great! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!

Beautiful Home

We had a wonderful weekend stay! The property was beautiful with tons of stuff to do. The property manager was super helpful with recommendations as well as very responsive with any questions we asked.

Beautiful, New and Well Equipped

The Firefly feels as if it is brand new and has every amenity you can imagine - hot tub, kayaks, 3 different grills, campfire with 8 Adirondack chairs, wrap around porch, wash & dryer, even S’mores. We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. We even got to watch some movies on Apple TV which we don’t have at home. It is away from the hustle and bustle of Beavers Bend and right on the river. You can go up to Broken Bow or the state parks and the retreat back to a relaxing hideaway. We live that our dog was allowed and she enjoyed the trip too!

We walked in to beautiful Christmas decor. This was a perfect and peaceful getaway with our family of 6. Our host was very quick and responsive to all questions. This is a perfect location right on the river!

Very nice

The cabin was very clean and everything was in good order it was a nice place to stay much better than going to a hotel for sure. The only issue was the front steps being the only access. It was very difficult for my mom to get up the steps and that is probably our fault for not realizing the house had those steep of steps when we booked it so there’s probably not much you could do about that cabin the way it’s made but for most people I’m sure it’s just fine thanks

Quick Family Getaway

We took a quick family vacation for my husband who works too hard and too much. He wanted to unwind with the outdoors, a little kayaking and a little fishing. I found Firefly, and we are in love. He walked directly to the river to fish, and we brought our kayaks and were able to float around the river directly off the private launch on the property. We played games, enjoyed the hot tub, played some cornhole, and on the last night sat around the fire pit, and ate smores, courtesy of Firefly. It was exactly what we needed. We were sad we couldn't stay longer, but so happy that we found it. We literally were looking at our calendar after we unloaded at home to see when we can go again.

Enjoyed kayak fishing on the Mt Fork and my stay at the Firefly cabin.

My visit to the Firefly cabin was a very pleasant experience. Super nice cabin, all the comforts of home...and more. Really enjoyed the wrap-around porch. Location was a plus for me...on the riverbank, with a "boat ramp", which provided easy access to the river (for my kayak). Cabin was very clean and well maintained. I have stayed at many cabins on the Mt Fork the past 15 years and this is one of the nicest. Aways enjoy my time on the Mt Fork river and the fishing. Thanks, Gary D

Firefly was the perfect place for our weekend get away.

We stayed at the Firefly cabin. It is conveniently located close to the canoe rental property. The entire cabin was super clean and we all felt comfortable. We will definitely book again.

The cabin was well equipped and very comfortable. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay here. The hot tub was quite nice to relax in after dark when it cooled off outside. Our party all agreed that this was an exceptional chance to get away and relax. We would reccomend this cabin to our friends and family.

Quiet and peaceful

My wife and I were needing to get away from everything and just rest for a few days. This was the perfect spot for us. Sitting on the wrap around porch in the mornings and evenings having coffee and listening to the cicadas was very peaceful. There are plenty of activities to do as well but we were there for some quiet time and got some much needed rest. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Just a few short steps to the river. We will definitely go back.

Awesome location

The firefly has been an awesome place for us to stay. We bring our own kayaks and float down to it and they have a great ramp to take out. It is clean, has beyond everything you need.

Girls Weekend

This was a great place for a quick getaway with my sister and two daughters. It was awesome being close to the river and having access to kayaks was fun for my girls. The only thing that was missing were our fishing poles and we will make sure to bring them next time. This unit was super clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the firepit and the hot tub and even though it was warm outside we lit the firepit and enjoyed the complimentary smores. This was our first time to the area, and we will return!

This unit was exactly like described. There were great personal touches and the beds were super comfortable. It was great being close to the river. We wish we would have packed our fishing poles.

Cabin on the river home away from home!

The cabin was stocked and very clean. Location is great with walking access to Wildgoose Kayak outfitters. The playground for kids is a clean & well taken care of area. We definitely will return to this beautiful cabin. Great point - for the outdoor cooks they have electric grill, charcoal grill and an electric smoker! Water access to the river!

We had such an amazing time and James was the best host and very responsive and super helpful! The cabin is amazing with all the amenities of home! The beds are super comfy and I am so glad we chose this place and location!We will definitely be back in July! We give it 5 stars all the way around! This was by far our favorite Air B&B we have been to so far. Everything is done right at this place

My family had a great time here. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing family trip. The host was very helpful and responded quickly to all our questions. We would definitely stay here again!

James responded quickly to all of our questions and helped us with recommendations on food and hiking. The cabin was wonderful, the river acres and hot tub are a great addition. Loved sitting around the fire pit and enjoying the porch. Would recommend to anyone looking for great location by the river.

Great cabin

This cabin is a great 2 bedroom cabin!! The owners have made sure everything you need is there! The beds are amazing and lots and lots of pillows! It is not as secluded as some cabins you may find but it is next door to Wild Goose Kayak Rentals which is a plus. The only negative is it is not actually on the river. It is situated near the river, just a VERY short walk. The cabin is up near the road and to get to the water you pass a larger cabin and walk down the boat ramp. I would rent again for sure!

Loved this place so much we booked another trip while we were there. WiFi is great. Location awesome unless you want to be close to town. I loved the seclusion and convenience to the river.

This cabin exceeded our expectations, they decorated the inside for Christmas, the whole experience was cozy and homely our family had so much fun! Also it is right off the river which is so beautiful, we really had a good time and we will definitely be returning!

It was a wonderful stay,very easy to find. It was very clean,comfortable, cozy and peaceful. My husband enjoyed fishing on the Kayak that was on site. My kids enjoyed playing with the dog in the water, the dog was very friendly.Theres also a sweet cat. The grill was convenient for us since we decided not to leave. If you get the chance, get the fire going at night and enjoy the beautiful sky. We saw shooting stars as well as the milky way. Wow!!! what an awesome cabin and hospitality!!! We are a family of 5 with kids 8 and under. After a recent not so great getaway we were very skeptical about this trip. As soon as we pulled into the cabin we knew it was going to be awesome. Everything was so clean and cozy. Very spacious and well stocked with all the amenities we needed. We really appreciate the notes with imp info around the house that helped us navigate thru the cabin with ease. Communication with James was so smooth and quick. Any questions we had he made sure to answer in a very timely manner. Needless to say we had such a great time and was able to relax after a long day in the river and forget all about our previous trip. Would highly recommend this cabin. PS: Thank you so much for the welcome basket... We love it!!!

Great cabin for a weekend getaway. It’s in a really good location with easy access to the river. The floors are super loud, but it’s incredibly quiet otherwise.

We loved our stay, the cabin is perfect for a family or group of 4. The 2nd cabin is very close if bigger groups are looking to book the whole lot. I would be careful bringing pets, there were a couple of stray animals that hung around the house. It didn’t effect our stay too much, but if your pets are a handful I’d leave them home. Responsiveness was spot on, the cabin was clean, and the river was very close. 5/5

Great stay.

We had such an amazing time. We didn’t want to leave. The pictures from this place doesn’t do it justice. This place was perfect for two couples, an infant, and a dog. We enjoyed hanging around the cabin. The host really does go all out for their guests with everything! We enjoyed the fire pit and enjoyed complimentary goodies to make some s’more. The river was really in walking distance. We even used the satellite cable TV to watch the basketball games. If you plan on staying 2 nights, then just go ahead and book it for 3 - 2 nights wasn’t enough for us!

Our trip to Broken Bow went flawlessly. We managed to catch a few days with no rain at all. The state park is beautiful and there are lots of great places to eat in Hochatown. The cabin was exactly as pictured in the description. The local 4 legged residents are very friendly also!

Stayed June 21 thru June 23. Nice quite cabin. The beds were so comfortable and the place was so clean. Loved sitting on the front porch and drinking coffee. The cabin has everything you need. All you have to do is bring your food and clothes. The ice maker didn't work so be sure and bring ice. You would love this place if your just looking to get away for some piece and quite. J. James was a wonderful host. He was very friendly and helpful and had great tips for the area. The cabin was clean, tastefully decorated, and had everything you needed and more. The river is breathtaking and so peaceful. The access to the river would be limited if the other cabin is occupied as the river is beyond this cabin. We had the area to ourselves and it was so nice to be able to sit by the river and relax.

We all loved the cabin and the location! Look forward to staying here again in the future. Already recommending to friends and family.

Love, love, love this cabin! It has everything you could possibly need and more! Two coffee makers (Keurig and regular), complete kitchen set up with plenty of paper towels and cleaning supplies, washer and dryer with detergent, bleach, and fabric softener, and shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Each bathroom has plenty of towels and one hair dryer is provided. Although each room has a ceiling fan and the air conditioner works well, extra fans are provided. For those with dogs, a crate and food/water bowls are available. The beds are extremely comfortable and have plenty of pillows. It is very clean and so very cozy. Outside you will find seating on the front porch and ceiling fans. There is a fire pit and the host graciously provided all the ingredients for smores. The cabin is nearby a larger cabin and the river access on the property is shared by both cabins. We did some fishing and enjoyed the beautiful view just steps from the cabin. If you plan to go to the water, consider taking folding chairs as they are not provided. Wild Goose canoe and kayak rentals are a short walk up the road. There are some restaurants, a Walmart, a grocery store and casino about 6 miles from the cabin. If you venture farther north you will find Hochatown which has several restaurants, shopping, miniature golf, go carts, petting zoo and of course the lake and marina. We were pleasantly surprised at all this area offers. There is definitely something for everyone. Add to this a wonderful little cabin you can have a fun and relaxing vacation. Lastly, check-in was easy as a lockbox with key is provided. The hosts promptly responded to phone calls and text messages and were very friendly. We will definitely return and highly recommend this cabin!

It is about 20 min away from stores or restaurants but it was great as it is what we wanted. Sitting in the back porch or deck looking out to the river was great. There were people going by on their boats and floating on their kayaks. The size of the cabin was perfect for five of us; two adults, two boys and a toddler.

We had a great time! Right off the water and the fishing was good. Cabin was beautiful and spacious. Can't wait to come back!

First time using Airbnb and the experience was great. The house was much better than I had expected and was so well maintained. The location was off the beaten path and was set in a beautiful location right next to the river! I would 100% stay there again.

We had a couples weekend getaway. The cabin was perfect for two couples to share and still have their own space. We had an amazing time. There were two kayaks provided and two life jackets as well so while the guys fished on the river that is in walking distance, the girls went kayaking. Very peaceful and serene. We went to town to grab lunch at Shuck Me and it was great for Oysters and Hot and Spicy Garlic boiled shrimp. We grabbed groceries to make dinner at night as it’s pretty dark to travel at night. We would absolutely stay again and had a great time. James was very helpful and quick with responses on recommendations and any answers to our questions. Upon checkout we went to Tree Frogs kayak rental and rented 4 single kayaks. They dropped us off on the river and picked us up at the end of the 2 hour kayak route. Some fast water falls and a great adventure. Def recommend. The trip was just what we needed and we all give it 5 stars! Thank you James!

Nice getaway, private and peaceful!

We loved our stay at the cabin. It was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. On this trip, we didn’t cook but it seemed the kitchen was stocked with appliances needed for cooking. The night sky was so dark and beautiful.

Cabin Getaway

Very nice cabin to just relax and enjoy company with family. Getting there was a little rocky, but we enjoyed ourselves getting away from the city. We didn’t get to kayak, which was not all too disappointing.. we were pleased with the view of the river instead. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get away from all of what’s going on. It’s still peaceful and quiet with the cabin next door, wasn’t bothered by any noise or ruckus. Thank you we will be coming back!!
